Good morning, I'm coming to you live from I can't believe this is happening- another good ultrasound this morning!!! I now have FIVE follicles- 2 at 14mm and 3 at 10mm!!! I mean, can you believe it?! I know this is peanuts compared to y'all who end up with like 30 follicles or something, but relatively speaking for me, I am just incredibly thankful!!
My RE is actually a little wierded out by the big guys- I guess they should not really be so big already. But he said it doesn't necessarily mean they're bad, just unusual; the 10mm ones are right where they should be, and so we just have to pray that they keep growing!! He also said that more could pop up. Really?!
After what happened last time, this morning as I was glazing the cinnamon rolls that rose overnight, the evil thought that there'd only be two follicles this morning came fleeting by my brain. But I definitely wasted no time in booting that little guy out of my head, to be replaced with the prevailing good gut feeling this time. Take that, negativity!!
I am so thankful for this second chance. I am thankful that we had the guidance to not force the ER last time. I am so thankful for the feeling in my heart right now.
So, if you want, join us in praying that our little 10mm ones will grow healthy and strong! We have great faith that the Lord is going to do immeasurably more than we can think of!
I have another ultrasound (and bloodwork) Monday morning and expect to start Ganirelix also on Monday. My RE is estimating that ER will either be April 30 or May 1!! Praying the Lord will bless us this time!!
In other news, I think my nurse is pregnant. I don't think that should be allowed...
Awesome news!! Praying the cycle continues to go great!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Ban pregnant nurses at fertility clinics!!
There is a receptionist at my RE's office who is hugely pregnant. It annoys me every time I see her. That is so awesome that you have some great follie action going :) It sounds like you made the right choice in holding off your er. Now this time you will get lots of great embabies.
ReplyDeletewow, things re progressing quickly! your follies are cooperating nicely! congrats! keeping you and your follies in my Ts & Ps!
ReplyDeletep.s. i think the pregnant nurse should only be allowed if she sought out ART. and she should wear a button that says something like "ask me about my IVF baby." :)
YAY YAY YAY!!! Praying for more good news and great things to come.
ReplyDeleteThat's great news!! So excited. I will definitely be praying for this cycle to be successful! I think it should really be against the rules that a pregnant woman work at a RE's office! That's just wrong.
ReplyDeleteGreat news! I'm so happy to read about your awesome response! Hope those little guys catch up! Yay!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! I believe in the power of the mind...To piggy back off of your comments about pregnant nurses, last week when I was at the lab having blood drawn, one of the technicians next to me was going on about how drunk she got the night before her bridal shower and how after her shower she had to look after her friend's 19 month old and had the nerve to say, "I don't know how mothers do it..." Keep in mind, she was talking to a woman who is an IVF/IUI program patient. That's ignorance and immaturity for ya!
ReplyDeleteMY nurse at the RE is pregnant too!! Barry actually said to me, "I don't think that should be allowed...if you work at an RE's office it should be a condition of hiring that if you get pregnant you have to take 9 months off." Agreed.
ReplyDeleteYay for good follicles!!!
Great news! I will pray that the news continues to be great.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree. I don't think anyone working at a fertility clinic should be pregnant. It's not only annoying, it's insensitive. I'm sorry you had to see that.
Yayyyyy so happy for you!!!
ReplyDeleteYay!! Great GREAT news!! So happy this is going better for you than last time. And yes, he's right. More could pop up! This has happened to me as well. Ones that are smaller than 10 right now, could pop up by Monday! And I agree, RE nurses should not be allowed to get pregnant. :) Unless of course they got pregnant through IVF like my nurse, and in that case it's allowed> :)
ReplyDeleteThis is WONDERFUL!! I am thanking God that you are off to such a great start. Usually more pop up a little later, too, but even if these were the 5 eggs you get at ER that is such a good number :) I said a prayer for you and will continue to do so!
ReplyDeleteThat is fantastic news!!!! YAY YAY YAY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you! Amazing news that your little follicles are doing so well! I will pray for you to have success. I'm only on Clomid, which is the devil, but while my husband is still in school it's all we can afford. And he'll be in school for YEARS finishing his post-grad work. And I turn 34 in a couple weeks. Been on Clomid for almost 2 years, and my doctor is cutting me off after next month, and then I don't know what I'll do. Hoping I won't have to face it. Kind of at the end of my rope after my miscarriage 2 days before Christmas, but trying to have faith that what the Lord wants for my life is better than what I want for my life. "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isa 41:10
ReplyDeleteoh, hoping and praying with you!

ReplyDeleteI love what ventingvagina said about the button saying "ask me about my IVF baby," too funny! Sounds like a good idea to me.
So happy to hear things are still going well for you, A! hope this cycle keeps on going great.
ReplyDeleteThat is great news! I hope your appt goes really well tomorrow. I also agree, if you work at an IVF clinic you should not be allowed to get pregnant.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! My heart is full of hope and faith for you right along with yours. The Lord has led you this far, He won't stop now!
ReplyDeleteExciting news! Can't wait to hear what happens next. And how reassuring it is to know God gives guidance in all of the many decisions we have to make.
ReplyDeletePraying with you A! So happy to hear about a good ultrasound. YAY! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations (on the follicles, not the pregnant nurse)!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome news! Good luck today!!
ReplyDeletep.s. Yep, I agree pregnant nurses should be put in the "back room" while working at a fertility clinic.
